On its most basic level Convergence is a term which describes the changing technological, global, cultural, social and economic ways in which media circulates within culture (Jenkins, 2006). The theory of convergence is a trend which is beginning to influence all areas of society as business, government, art, journalism, health, education and social interactions are increasingly being carried out within digital media spaces. This blog will attempt to highlight the various resources which are facilitating areas of convergence, give current examples of convergence and forecast where this continually growing trend could be headed in the future.
